DESCRIPTION:The FIRST Steps for BABIES© is a two-day (virtual or in-person) foundational training which provides both a framework for interdisciplinary early intervention and for health care professionals to learn about the foundations of newborn and young infant development through the FIRST Steps for BABIES© approach. Additionally\, participants will learn about the progression of the caregiver-infant relationship as the infant develops using the PreSTEPS Model®. \nThis training is a pre-requisite to the other trainings programs offered through WonderBABIES. This foundational training is the first step in the learning program for interdisciplinary early intervention and health care professionals. \nCLASS IS JULY 18 and 19 – First Steps for BABIES for the Michigan cohort. However\, if there is space available\, you may be able to attend this scheduled class\, too!  \nREGISTRATION CLOSED\nPlease check our events calendar for future classes.

DESCRIPTION:Welcome Back\, Alaska/New Mexico Cohort!\nClass 3 of 12\nThis training began on May 24\, 2022 and will continue to be held on the 4th Tuesday of each month until May\, 2023. \nThe Learning Collaborative meets monthly for one year after the FIRST Steps for BABIES foundational training. These meetings are designed to provide in depth training\, mentoring and reflective consultation for early intervention and public health providers.
